Old Games News is dedicated to classic PC games - the DOS and early Windows era titles, their history, reviews and the stories behind them.

The site first appeared in 2009 as a small project cataloguing the games of the 1980s and 1990s: strategy giants, adventure comedies, simulation oddities and the experiments in between. After a long pause, the archive is being carefully restored - original articles return first, new writing follows.

What we cover

• Reviews - the classics revisited honestly, with both what holds up and what does not
• History - studios, engines, and the technology that made the era what it was
• Guides - how to run the old games today (DOSBox, open-source engines, remasters)
